Rex Barton is a fiction writer, retired United States Army, Military Policemen, retired Law Enforcement, and retired Mortgage Broker/Realtor. Most of the material in his books comes from incidents in his Military Police and Law Enforcement work.

Barton’s autobiography, soon to be released, reveals his incredible story, especially the early years and experiences that gave him the foundation he would need to be a survivor. Having been raised on a ranch, Barton has always been an avid horseman and cares for all animals, large and small. His other interests have included surfing, flying, race car driving, gardening, and golf.

For everything good in Barton’s life, there were also failures. He endured tremendous heartbreak and witnessed the worst of humanity. Failures allowed Barton to grow and gain the strength that would be required of him. His mental and physical toughness allowed him to take charge of his life and fight for what he believed. Barton has always relied on his faith and need for God; it was all part of His grand plan – the blueprint of Barton’s very existence.

Staying fit and healthy has always been a priority to Barton. In 2014, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that almost took his life. He survived the surgery, but the tumor and chemo drugs cause him to be unsteady on his feet. Barton spends his time with his beautiful wife and enjoys being Papa to their four grown children and four grandchildren. The tumor has given Barton a drive to do even more; and now his passion is writing. He is a protagonist.

Barton’s motivation is to keep writing the next book while he continues to publish the books he has already written. His prayer is that the good Lord will help him write twenty more Suspense-Action-Thrillers and maybe even a Western or two.

His hope is that you enjoy the read as much as he did the write!

My Life's Verse

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
– Proverbs 3: 5-7

My Prayer for All Readers

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
– John 3:16
